UVPN amplifies its voice with fellow peace advocates
Together with other peace advocates representing different organizations from different places, United Voices for Peace Network amplified its voice through a Nationwide Youth Peace Table Training Workshop organized by the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process last May 15-19, 2017 at the Mindanao Training and Resource Center, Davao Medical School Foundation, Medical Drive Bajada, Davao City.
The activity provided the youth basic knowledge on peace-building, oriented them on government’s peace policies and programs, defined their role in peace and nation-building and supported network building among them.
Representatives from UVPN are Samrudin Z. Haron, Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Maimona Samsodin, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in South-Central Mindanao Regional Executive Office and Husain Asi, former head of Ibaadur Rahman Chapter in Cotabato City State Polytechnic College, Cotabato City. Other qualifiers who were not able to attend due to their conflicting schedules were Norman A. Ibad, Nawawi Pendulat, Datu Errol Jabar Sinsuat and Samir Hasim of South-Central Mindanao, Ayah Ever and Asia Ever of Western Mindanao, Sulu and Palawan and Sultan Hammim B.
